The national and international inter-lending service

  1. For the clients of the Central University Library (CUL)

When you cannot find the issue you need in the catalogue of CUL, you can visit BIROUL DE ÎMPRUMUT INTERBIBLIOTECAR (The ILL Department) (headquarters, 1st floor, entrance through the Multimedia Room)  in  order to bring it for you from another library in Romania or from abroad.

Borrowing conditions:

  • A valid CUL Iaşi Entrance Card
  • An Inter-lending request form filled up with the bibliographic information of the needed book and of the patron requesting it
  • According to the requirements of the lending library, the respective issue will be lent in a reading room or at home, for a period imposed by the respective library.
  • At the book’s return it must be paid the fee requested by the respective library
  • CUL will ask for the postage refund for the publication returning to its owner:
    • National lending: 10 RON
    • International lending: 50/140 RON
  1. For different Romanian persons outside Iasi or from abroad

If you want to borrow a book from CUL's funds, please address it to the closest (public, national, university, etc.) library mentioning all its bibliographic information. The respective library will make all the needed approaches for you to receive the needed issue. We do not answer to individual persons that are not our patrons but only to the libraries whose patrons they are.
