The Charges
Fees and services starting with October 1st, 2022,
approved in the meeting of the Director’s board from September 12th, 2022
At the Central University Library "Mihai Eminescu" Iaşi, for all categories of users, no fees are charged for issuing permits/access cards to the library, for visa and liquidation.
Free basic services according to the law of education, art.202, parag. (1), letter (b) for students, master and Ph.D studies (academic year) as well as for professors, researchers and graduates of higher education with residence in Iaşi |
-Issuing the library access card;
- Annual endorsement of the library card (permit);
- Access to the BCU online catalog;
- Online ordering of publications;
- Access to the reading rooms;
- Consulting the publications in the reading room (30 publications simultaneously : 10 from the head office, 10 from the Periodicals Room, 10 from the reading rooms in the branch libraries, with the possibility of 2 extensions);
- Home loan: 5 publications (simultaneously) for 15 days, from the entire BCU Iasi network, without the possibility of extension;
- Access to the Digital Library of BCU Iasi;
- Access to subscribed scientific databases (from the library premises);
- "Ask a librarian" service (references by e-mail);
- Alerts and electronic notices regarding the return period of the publication;
- Assistance regarding the identification/localization of publications;
- Access to orientation sessions regarding library services;
- Newsletter (informative bulletins);
- Photographing documents with your own camera in the reading rooms;
- Access to events organized by BCU "M. Eminescu" Iaşi. |
* Students, master and Ph.D studies from other university centres in the country can only loan in the reading room, with no charge.

Digitized publications can only be viewed and allow searching in the text. The Universitaria digital collection can be explored on the http://dspace.bcu-iasi.ro platform by creating an account. Universitaria can be accessed by paying a 6-month or 12-month subscription. After paying for the service, the account for mobile access to the Universitaria will be activated within 24 hours.
